our_storyOur Story

My favorite one liner to describe how we met is to say that Brad showed up in my hotel in the middle of the night with a rock band. It just sounds so scandalous, so, "sex, drugs and rock and roll" and its always bound to raise an eyebrow.

Truth be told, there was no sex or drugs, but there was a bit of rock and roll. We followed the same bands and our paths were meant to cross at some point or another. We had both spent the weekend separately road tripping with the band Dexter Freebish as they moved their way through North and South Carolina. At the end of the evening I was chilling in my hotel room with a few friends, a guitar, and a lead guitar player, and the rest of the band joined us with Brad and his buddy in tow. We got to talking, found out we were both from Charlotte and we began plotting our next show to see the band.

After that night, we discovered mutual friends and mutual musical interests. We spent the next few months hanging out at shows, discussing music, forcing me to sing on stage for my birthday, road tripping to places like Knoxville and ending up at radio station after parties. We had a blast. Then the holidays came and our friends went. They all headed home for the holidays and we were left behind. Alone. With the mistletoe.

We then decided this dating thing might be fun. The next four and half years were spent laughing, talking, listening to music, going to shows, cruising on the world's largest floating music festival, hiking in the mountains, telling the stories of our past, and growing to become best friends. Somewhere in the middle of that time we fell in love. And decided that we wanted to do this for the rest of our lives.

I don't know what the future holds, but I am certainly ready to face it with Brad by my side. I am honored that each of you will be present with us as we commit to one another before God and begin our lives together as husband and wife.

Just in case you didn't read everything Annie just wrote here are the cliff notes.

We met on the internet because we like the same music(live bands) and tended to be at the same music(shows) venues a lot. We enjoy vacationing in the same spots. We have a lot of fun together just hanging out where ever. Plus Annie is a good cook and makes a "tasty apple pie"!! It was a no brainer we would get together. Lets just say all of our friends were not surprised.
